Two blogs in one day.. I must be ill - LONDON TIME

On Tuesday I arrived back from one of the most amazing short breaks ever and it was in my all time favourite place which of course has to be the one and only LONDON!!! :D
London has always been special to me, it is a place filled with happy memories from my childhood and to be able to share this place with Rob was just fantastic. We stayed for three nights, one at my cousins and then two in a hotel.

Day 1 - This was spent at my cousin Lucy's flat and we just had a pizza and nibbles night catching up and watching the X Factor which was just perfect after a long day of working and travelling.
Day 2 - Today we went to the Tower Of London with my cousin to look at the all the ceramic poppies which had been planted to remember those who died in the First World War - one poppy per person in the English colony to have died. It's hard to imagine that all those people died fighting for their country and seeing all the poppies there just put it into perspective.
Day 3 - This has to be my favourite day of the whole trip. We started it off with a walk around Westminster looking at the House Of Parliament and all the sights in that area and then went on the London Eye. Rob had booked a Champagne Experience even though neither of us actually like champagne (oopsy). But we had such a fantastic time, the fact we had the champagne experience meant we had Priority Tickets and didn't have to queue to get our tickets. We went on such a sunny, clear day which meant that we had the best views!!
In the evening we went out for a pizza and then headed to the theatre to watch Mamma Mia and it was Rob's first theatre experience and thank goodness he liked it or he would have killed me :P Mamma Mia is such a feel good performance and it was just fantastic
Day 4 - Our final day was very relaxing. We started off with a breakfast at Starbucks and then we took the tube to Harrods. This shop is absolutely manage and even though we seemed to be there for ages we didn't even manage to get around even half of the shop! Imagine being able to go into that shop, not have to look at any of the prices and being able to buy anything that caught your eye - a girl can dream can't she! We then wandered around the market at Covent Garden and then caught the train back home to rainy Preston :(

Thank you for all the memories London, we will be back again shortly!
